Every paid transfer gets watermarked previews automatically — your client sees enough to validate the work, but can't use the file commercially before paying. Originals stay locked in encrypted storage until the payment lands.
## How the watermark looks
Images: a faint diagonal "ZeFile" watermark across the visible work. Videos: same overlay on a 20-second clip. Audio: a watermarked waveform with a 20-second sample. PDFs: first page only, with the watermark.
## Why it works
The preview is generated from a separate, lower-resolution rendering — not the original. Your full-resolution master never reaches the recipient's device until payment confirms. They can't right-click-save or screen-record their way to a usable file.
## What changes after payment
The originals unlock and download in their full quality, no watermark. Your file metadata (EXIF, layers, color profile, audio bit depth) is exactly as you uploaded it.
